Il Volo
Some restaurants are easy to walk past. Il Volo is not one of them. Tucked away on Via Il Prato, just a short stroll from Firenze Dream Homes, this place has quietly built one of the most impressive reputations in the city, and the bistecca is the reason why.
Rated 4.9 on Tripadvisor and ranked among the top 40 restaurants out of more than 2,600 in Florence, Il Volo is not playing games when it comes to the Fiorentina. The beef is selected with care, the cooking is precise, and the result is a steak that guests describe, over and over, as the best they have ever eaten. One diner put it simply: spectacular, with food quality that stood out as the best Florentine steak they had ever had.
The atmosphere is warm and refined without being stiff. The interior creates a welcoming environment that works equally well for lunch or dinner, whether you are coming in for a long, celebratory meal or just a quiet evening with a good glass of Tuscan wine. The wine list is well-chosen, the pasta dishes are made with real care, and the Pistachio Tiramisù has its own fans.
